the moth girl was born and raised in New York City in the 2000s. She will be a graduate from Frank Sinatra School of the Arts High School in 2025 and will continue her education at college in the fall. Throughout her life, she’s been featured in her local newspaper, The Rockaway Times, and in a book of children’s poetry. In 2025, her piece titled The Moth won the ArtsConnection art competition for the theme of “Simplicity in Complexity” and earned her a Gold Key from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.

the moth girl started cracking down on her art-making during the pandemic, when she was twelve. She often created photorealistic colored pencil portraits. After beginning attendance at an art-based high school, her style transformed from still life oil paintings to architectural models to woven textiles and felt pieces. On the side, she enjoys making jewelry, greeting cards, and bookmarks.

All of the moth girl’s art is inspired by her love of nature, biology, and small details. She enjoys making works that take up hours of her time, and she is more than willing to try out a new medium. As of now, the moth girl is trying to make more pottery, jewelry, and engravings.
